Yes I am giving some points to my grandad as a birthday present, if he makes it.

Hi,has anyone used their points for the funeral plan?
I have £200 worth of points and my mother was interested in a funeral plan,I was wandering if the funeral vouchers came with a name on them.
  • I think you order the Dignity plan vouchers with your points but anyone can spend them at dignity. This is why they tell you to send them to Dignity by special delivery
    more details from dignity
    0800 38 77 17 quoting reference TES03NY.

but check first if there is a local provider in your area their website has a postcode search facility and you should also find out if their local provider is reasonably thought of.

  • NOTE - You must have your vouchers & use them by the end of November 2007 as the deal expires then.

It's not something that I'm interested in but I know a lot of older people really worry that they might not have enough for a decent funeral. A strange gift but some people would really appreciate it.

I didnt know this existed but if I had known I would have saved points for it. Its no good now as it runs out in November. I'd just like to save my children the worry and hassle of sorting out a funeral when I pop my cloggs. This isnt that nice a project but I suppose its different when you do it this way, if you have the points for it and use them for this you have to get the funeral sorted
    Thanx

Hi,you can still save your points towards a funeral plan,if you apply for vouchers now you have to use them by November to make sure you pay the price shown.Prices go up all the time so if you save up your points and apply after November you may have to pay a slightly higher amount for a funeral plan.
We are trying to collect as many points as we can,at the moment I have points for £800 in dignity vouchers,I am always looking for ways to boost my points.

I think they actually mean you have to buy a plan before November.
I must admit I had a chuckle over the wording.
They're not giving you much time - so boost your points & spend it all fast! LOL
  • If you are interested/were considering buying this type of plan it might be worthwhile finding out from Tesco if they will accept tokens not in your name (i.e. buy off ebay). After all, it could be relatives with different names helping you - so you don't have to worry about about leaving them with the hassles.

Buying points which the seller coverts into deals for you off ebay would mean you'd get the plan at approximately half price - a good saving if you were considering buying a plan anyway.
