I have a oil heating, which does water and heating, and a hot water cylinder .
i normally have the timer on twice a day ( 3hrs morn 3-4 hrs night )
showers in morn baths at night,.
is it more economical leaving the boiler on all day so it doesn;t have to heat up the whole cylinder again in the evening, i heard it may be better leaving it on.
anyone know or have experience with it.
cheers.

It will cost more to leave it on continuously. The hotter the water in the cylinder the more heat it will lose so letting it cool down when you have no demand will reduce the heat loss overall and hence the energy cost.0
