Inheritance question again

Options
I am soon to receive a lump sum from an inheritance of approx 30,000

I have read through the threads on this site and would like to know the following please

I receive incapacity benefit now and would like to gift this inheritance money to my son to set up a new business

Over the years my son has supported me financially (bought me a car, paid for homehelp etc) which I could pay back to him as if paying back a loan

I would ask my solicitor to pay my son direct and so I would never receive the money and therefore it would not show on my bank statements.

Would the above be seen as my disposing of funds to avoid declaring it to the benefits agency

IB isn't a means tested benefit so I don't think it will make any difference to your benefit what you do with the money.... but someone with more knowledge will be along soon I am sure..
