Nissan Note tappets?

Hi

Have just bought a 2005 Nissan Note 1.5i petrol,until the engine has warmed up there is a noise not dis-similar to tappets, but is not Metallic more plastic, any ideas? (engine shows 20,000 km- and Yes its a grey import).

    Location might give a clue.

    Anyway, maybe it's a leaking exhaust manifold/gasket, that can sound similar and re-seal as it gets warm (usually within a minute or two of starting).

    Why not??, Owned them in the UK for 10 years,never had a problem and cars far better optioned and yes i live in Sunny Cyprus(whats the weather like).

    Is it not still under warranty? Regardless of whether you are a jammy s*d in a nice warm climate (only jealous), if under 3 years old, surely you would have manufacturer's warranty?

    (Any chance of a free holiday?:D )
