It varies vastly between boilers and how warm it is outside. You can get your best estimate by taking a meter reading then putting it on for an hour and taking a meter readin again. The cost per gas unit is on the bill. The will only give you an estimate as once the house is warm the boiler will not cycle as often.

Your thermostat may be broken if its set to 15c and it still comes on as 15c is very low. It should be at 21c in the living area's and 18c in bedrooms.

My heating would never come on if it was set to 15 degrees centigrade!!

If your thermostat is one of those rotary dial ones it will be hopelessly inaccurate and have a range of about 4 degrees at the same apparent temperature. It will probably be full of dust as well.

    15C is cold!

21 is a bit too warm if you ask me. If you need it that high, find a jumper!

  • :confused:yeah i thought it might be broken. basically, i turn it until it clicks (which is 15 degrees) but it always comes on nice and warm. lol! i thought i was being good and saving energy!

i will try a boiler test later, to see how many units i use up. i have never looked at my meters before. I hope one say "gas" and the other says "elec." 'cause i am pretty clueless.:D
