MSN message history

Anyone tell me how I can check the message history for an MSN account?
I am sure I used to be able to do it by going to File, message history, and then it listed all the contacts, and I could click on and look at them.
Either my DD has worked out how to stop the messages being saved, or I am doing something wrong!!
Thanks

Do you have the box ticked (in Tools, then Options, then Messages) to save messages?

    C:\Documents and Settings\*username*\My Documents\My Received Files\*folder with a name based on the email address*\History
They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it

Weegie - does this work even if the box I referred to isn't ticked?

I don't have a clue about MSN but after some trouble my DD had last summer we now keep an eye on what's being said. It would be reassuring to know that even if she finds out how to untick the box we will still have a record.

    Many thanks.

You won't be able to see if that box is ticked unless you are signed into MSN as your DD, as each msn user on your PC can have different settings.

So if she does un-tick it will the messages no longer be saved in Documents and Settings?

    Box unticked = not saved.

  • Thanks. I have ticked the box. If it stops saving the messages I guess that'll mean she has gone and unticked the box! I am sure a friend of hers told her recently how she stops her messages being saved :-)
