Zanussi washing machine pump - help!

Can anyone tell me how to access the pump on my Zanussi washer dryer WJD1257? It is not draining and making a gurgling noise- nothing in the filter but cannot see the pump or impeller. Have had this machine repaired a couple of times now (bearings) and don't want to shell out if we don't need to. Any one know what to do?

cant remember that particular model. but most of em you just lay the machine on its side, and access the pump from underneath.
do it very carefully and watch for any water escaping etc..

i try and do em outside if poss. lay it on an old bit of carpet etc..

Thanks Ormus. Looking at a washer help website they seemed to say if you shine a torch in the filter area you should see the pump but this wasn't the case - so might have to try turning on side then.
