AzureWave AD-TU200 USB Stick Problem

I got the AzureWave AD-TU200 USB Stick from Maplin the other day, I am finding that the picture tends to freeze for a second at a time every so often. Would this be a signal problem? The BBC mux has a strength of around 49%, much lower than my PVR downstairs.

Any help would be appreciated.

It's possible but, from my experience, unlikely, as if the signal level is marginal you tend to get pixelation of part of the screen more often than complete breakup.

It's more likely that your PC has another processor-intensive task to do and can't do the MPEG2 decoding in real time - and hence freezes the picture until it can catch up.

Mine (not based on the same hardware as yours) does something similar at each programme change in the EPG - because it has to close one file and open another.

49% is pretty low, but check the processor usage in task manager in case something else is hogging the processor momentarily.

    What's the signal quality?
They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it
