AlertPay What is it like???

Hi there,

AlertPay or Paypal???

I know you can't use AlertPay with Ebay, what is it like is it easy to set up???

I would be quite happy to set up an account under your referal subject to it sounding ok.

Does it work better than Paypal as I already have one of these accounts?

Never heard of it at all..and as I only sell on ebay if it isn't allowed there I would have no reason to use it.

Can I assume you are a non UK MSE user? That would explain why none of us on here have heard of it as it is a Canadian system.

Just a quick look suggests it is dearer than paypal so for me I would probably stick with paypal which is known in the UK and for once (!) is cheaper.

If however you are in the US Or Canada this is probably not the best place to ask, sorry.

First of all, I am an MSE user,

Secondly I'd never heard of it either, that's why I'm asking.

    Many thanks, all the same,

Robin, Soolin asked if you were a NON UK MSE user, lol, not an MSE user!!
Sorry we can't help you! not heard of it either, but as Soolin said.. it is an American site, so I wouldnt bother if I were you. Can I ask why you want an account other than Paypal? Like.. What for?

Sorry if my post wasn't clear.

We sometimes have US or Canadian users stray onto MSE and ask questions and it is only afterwards that we realise we haven't answered the question as the user hoped as we had assumed the user to be in the UK, so haven't helped at all.

If you tell us what you are trying to achieve maybe we can help. You say in the first post that you know alertpay can't be used on ebay so I assume you are not selling there, so where do you want the payment method to work? If you tell us say whether you are looking for a payment method for a web site, or another auction site then I'm sure someone can help.

Really, I just want to know if it's safe, as like you (I've never heard of it) and is it similar to Paypal?
