Bad news on the FM transmitter I'm afraid
I updated to the US 1.07 firmware without any problem, but the player is missing the FM tr sensitivity switch. According to the US manual this is located next to the hold switch, but on the europe version this is not on the case. I suspect the electronics are probably housed under the case, but not accessible.
Nevermind a great wee player, but would have been really neat with the fm transmitter function.

Beware some pretty uncomplimentary reviews on Amazon here and here. Most seem to revolve around sound quality, fiddly buttons, and bad navigation. Sure, the potential for FM transmission is a desirable Bell/Whistle, but if you can't get it to work, so what?
This player loks great on paper with its Li-on battery, fine features at a very keen price, but I think I'll let the geeks make it jump through hoops for themselves.0
