Hi - I don't know if I have posted this in the right place but here goes...
I want to replace our old (naff) cane conservatory furniture.
Has anyone got leather furniture in their conservatory? Does it last?
Other than getting hot in summer any other disadvantages?
Thanks for your help

If you let the conservatory get too cold in winter you might get problems with damp and hence mould. I would also keep it out of direct sunlight in summer as far as possible.0

the problem you may have is if you are going with dark leather, it may fade in the sunlight.
Life's way too short!

^^True and it will get dry and may split.0

I'm going for cream leather so hopefully wouldn't fade.
I don't think damp and mould will be any more of a problem on leather as it would be on cloth/cane furniture.
Thanks for all your help0 -
Isn't it going to feel cold to sit on in the winter, and hot in the summer?0

Have had a dark brown leather settee in a south facing conservatory for the last 3 years. It was surplus to requirements & I really didn`t think it would last long but it`s fine:-no fading or cracking. I do "feed" it regularly with leather protector (£1 shop) and have had no problems.0

Leather can fade and sometimes quite dramatically. You need to use a good leather protector with UV (not £1 shop products - these cannot contain the right products as they cannot be produced for that price) and this will help to keep it from fading. If it does fade it can be rectified.

I have an antique leather sofa that in my lounge has faded and dried out over the years, not that many as well 4.
I do treat it and keep the curtains shut as much as possible when the sun is out, but it is very dry still.0 -
My friend had a cream suite in her conservatory. It went green all around where the wooden frame was. She got it changed as a manufacturing fault, but I'm not convinced that having it in sunlight with no blinds didn't play a part.0
