Hey,

Recently bought myself a Seat Leon - love it to bits. But, I'm due to start a slightly different form of work for 3 months. This work provides a company car to use for the travel, so my car is going to be sat around alot. Not completely, but it's going to be used very very little.

Is there anything I should be doing, or not doing to my car to help it through the next 3 months so that it comes through ok on the other side ...

If it was going to go a whole 3 months without use I would take the battery out personally. As it's just going to be barely used I think it should be fine even if it's only used every month, so long as it gets a good longish run, with some harsh-ish braking to clear up any rust on the discs (done safely of course) each month I'd imagine it should be fine.
  • Thats gotta be rare, I am from Stafford aswell.

Yeah as already mentioned just try and make sure it gets the odd good run adn it will be fine.

Well, it'll probably be used very little each week as opposed to a long run every couple of weeks etc.

And why is it rare?! lol. Stafford isn't the smallest of places :)

i wouldnt take the battery out of it to be honest, just take it for a good run once a week and all should be well, also park it in gear with the handbrake off.
dont take the battery out,for a few reasons, you will need to recode your stereo when you put it back in (minor i know) but on a lot of modern cars leaving them without batteries for a good length of time isnt good for the ECU sometime they can loose parameters from the memory if no battery is is connected.
a fairly new car battery shouldnt really go flat quickly.at least 3 to 4 weeks without use shouldnt flaten it.
    ...work permit granted!
