I have a reclaimed solid oak table and bought some bees wax locally.
I havent used this before so is there a specific way i need to use it?
I was going to apply it using a cloth and "polish" using a soft material?
I didnt know what else i could use on this table, it was expensive so want to keep it in top condition. So far i have just been wiping it with a damp cloth

When I do my table I leave the wax on for about 15 minutes before polishing off with a soft cloth. HTH.:j DEBT FREE FROM 01/01/11 :j

I've got some solid bees wax I bought from a local beekeeper, only when I got it home did I realise all the wax in the shops is more liquid, how do I polish with the solid stuff? ThanksFreedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0

My commercial beeswax polish has been pre-mixed with linseed oil and genuine turpentine. No idea what the ratio is, but it's got a consistency similar to Vaseline.0

Beeswax of any consistency is all useable. Placing the tub or jar in a warm place such as the airing cupboard may take the stiffness off it.
Rub on and rub in, leave for a while (longer if the room or the piece is cold) and then polish off. Give a final buff, stand back and admire. In theory, the shine should deepen the longer you go on applying real beeswax,
There is only one answer when using wax, and that rule has applied for centuries - it's hard work! - but the finish is unbeatable.0 -

You can rub the solid beeswax on but it will take really hard work to polish it off.
If you grate the beeswax then add it to an equal amount of real turpentine (you may need to get this from artists/crafters supply shops, turps substitute will not do), leave it to disslove and you will have a soft wax polish to apply sparingly, leave and then polish off. It will last for ages because you should not apply polish to furniture more than once a month at the most - in between just dust and then give a good rub to keep the shine up.

Can you use beeswax on doors that aren't painted? I am tempted to get some plain solid doors from B&Q and prefer not to paint them.0

I am sure you can use it on untreated wood - I've used Lord Sheraton Beeswax Balsam on sanded pine (recommend ventilating room when you use it)
Can the following prices be correct??? One's £1.99 and one's £14.95 - both 75ml - am I seeing things?
