I wouldn't buy a new car if I was going to be doing that kind of mileage, you'll just be peeing money away on depreciation costs. A 1 or 2 year old diesel would be a much better bet, then the previous owner has taken the hit on the depreciation costs for you. Maybe an ex-demonstrator?
28p mile plus £25/day taxed is taking the pee a bit I think, I get 40p a mile and it definitely doesn't cover the total expense of running my car (Seat Leon S, X-reg 1.4, not expensive to run by any means).....although I have just worked it out and your deal is slightly better than mine on those sorts of weekly mileages.0
