as the fault still exists why not ask the landlord to come over and check this is the case for himself. we recently had to have a local plumber call out to us 4 occasions in total re our ch boiler which was only heating our radiators randomly. in the end it turned out that a valve was faulty and not switching automatically from hot water to central heating. each time the plumber thought the fault was fixed.
