Hello!
Back again in my quest to find out your comments and advice :T
I would like to know the "best" options to protect my pc from viruses, spyware, malaware and all the other nasty stuff in cyberspace thay can do it harm.
I'm interested in your views on: the well-known (e.g. Norton, Kaspersky etc), all-in-one packages, and both paid for and free options.
(I have a Dell Dimension 1100 desktop, which is getting a totally new c-drive on Monday. It came with a "Norton Internet Security 2005" disk to install, but obviously times have changed!).
I'm researching the best way to go in terms of protecting my pc.
I'm grateful for comments in advice.
Scotty

Well, this has been done to death (look at the security sticky) but the following should cover all bases and free too;
Sunbelt Kerio firewall
AVG antivirus
Lavasoft ad-aware
Spybot
SuperAntiSpyware
Ccleaner
