Income Protection Insurance for temp contract/agency employees

My partner and myself both work on temporary contracts and at times directly for agencies.
We would both like some sort of income protection insurance to cover illness/accidents etc which meant we could not work, as we would only get SSP (£66.15 pw!)
If anybody has any suggestions or could even let me know if such a thing exists for workers in our situation I would be very grateful.

Permanent Health Insurance is the product you are referring to. It is set on the occupation you currently doing. A decent PHI (rather than a budget one), will not be affected by changes in occupations. ASU (accident, sickness & unemployment) is probably a waste of money compared to PHI as the unemployment side of ASU would be almost useless.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
