Hi i have a bit of a strange one here...
I can connect my Nokia E65 via WIFI to a BT 2091 router and register to my SIP provider no problems. I am now testing the BT1801HG router also known as the BT1800HG router (with a different firmware).. I can connect via WIFI though it will only register to my SIP provider randomly (via the E65).
I have tried the standard things such as setting my phone to a DMZ though even this does not work (well it does some times).
It must be the settings on the 1801 / firewall though i can browse just cannot register can anyone think of anything that it could be.. or settings to setup such as firewall?
Please can you try and help me.. I want to use the 1801 as my sync is 2000kbps more

Thinking more about this... got to be a firewall issue...
I have all the standard VOIP/SIP ports enabled can anyone think of any that i can try?0 -
Hello
Not too sure on this topic but RTP which is required with SIP uses a random port when connecting. Can you monitor your FW logs to see if anything is being blocked?.
SIP should be opened on port TCP and UDP 5060 and as mentioned RTP uses a random port.
Also a reccommendation is to disable NAT onthe FW.
Hope this is a start but the main point is to monitor FW logs when trying to connect0 -
Thanks i will enable the firewall logs and see what outgoing traffic is being blocked... already had enabled UDP/TCP 5060 though...0
