Is anyone on Orange Broadband having problems viewing websites?

I found Orange/Wanadoo to be really bad, I would often go days at a time with a PPP server error, and spend a good few quid on the phone talking to some bird in India going through all the stuff I had already done, and it never worked, I've just changed to O2 for £7.50 a month, 3 times faster too, only 3mbps but that's lightning to the 790kps I was getting.
Have you noticed that these days when lots of phone companies offer national calls at the same price as local calls, these call centres have started "offering" national rate 0870 or whatever numbers at 10p per minute, if they just gave a proper location code it would only cost 5p or less per minute, thanks a lot. There are 10 types of people in the world; those who understand binary and those who don't...0 -
If it is an Orange DNS problem, use OpenDNS which is completely independent here.
Only takes a couple of minutes to set up.
I've logged into the Livebox but can't see where exactly you change the DNS settings. I used to have a Netgear which was straight forward.
There's a Dynamic DNS option with DynDNS and No-ip listed as options, but only give you blank fields to put in login details.
The two listed as current under system information on the router are:
Primary DNS server : 195.92.195.94
Secondary DNS server :195.92.195.95
Thanks for any advice, I have train tickets I need to book!

Did you click on Router in the centre of that page? Instructions for fourteen different makes of routers and "others". Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

I did, and had a look but none of them are like the Livebox. I had a look at the Netgear one wich is dead easy to understand, but the Orange router isn't really set out to make changes easy.
I tried changing the DNS settings on my laptop which made no difference, I guess this is as it connects to the router not the internet directly.0 -
I have been having problems as well, we have orange broadband but not with a livebox - over the last few days I lose the connection but today can't get into my email. I get the come though on mailwasher but I am expecting a few that are not here yet.
To be honest I've never really had a problem in the past (touch wood, I've jinxed it now!!) apart from the odd niggle and we have been with them for 4 or 5 years but when we move I am thinking of changing to BT and changing to the free broadband service I get with my mobile so I can setill access my old emails and messages from old customers. We was with BT in the early days and they whacked the prices up so we left and went to
freeserve (as they were back then!!). Are BT any good??0 -

I hadn't been able to find that form earlier, I've sent them an email too. Going by previous experience the reply I received last time wasn't that great.0
