I have now seen the offer.
What happen was I run out of oil , when i found out i just poured oil into the engine. No lights are on now but i may the oil filer may got the crap in the bottom of the engine.
I now need to check that the oil level is still ok.
Many thanks0 -
So long as you are keeping to manufacturer's recommended oil and filter change intervals, the filter should be fine. If it is losing lots of oil quickly it's best to get the source of the fault investigated and sorted if possible.
When you say "i just poured oil into the engine" did you check the level against the dipstick? Overfilling can seriously damage the car as much as under-filling.0 -

no,you dont just run it out of oil,you drain the old oil out of the engine, remove old oil filter, fit new oil filter and then fill engine again with new oil.
joseph you probably have got crap at the bottom of your engine,i imagine this crap used to be big end shells and piston rings...work permit granted!0 -
I did check the level with a dip stick and it is only to the level.
I was conern that due to no oil the filter might have got some rubbish in it that is why i was after the nation company to change both my filter, flush out the engin and refil with new oil.
