Comet Help Refund

They have to check there is a genuine fault before they can refund / repair. Sometimes the mnufacturer will not allow the retailers to do this (alot of PC companies do this), as they insist their own staff look at them to check the problem. Or they offer a help line.
Once the manucaturer has agreed there is a fault, then you can ask for your refund (I believe, but others will know this better than me).
BUT, you must let them confirm the fault and this may include sending it away. Otherwise how do they know your not just making it up?Green and White Barmy Army!0 -
You are not obliged to accept a repair.....but you will have to wait for a replacement to be delivered unless they can ofer you the same one"off the shelf". I had to wait 7/10 days till a new one arrived but I had the leverage of telling them that unless they offered a replacement I would immediately cancel the transaction.
yes you are obliged to accept a repair, if you are outside what would be considered an acceptance period the choice of refund/repair/replacement is at the retailers discretion.0 -

Given that the PC is less than 7 days old, and the buyer has complained to the retailer a few days ago, he/she can't be deemed to have accepted the goods."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -

-
thats how i do it if any thing is faulty in the first 28days i always do the act if the shop will not do it
it could well be longer but i say 28 days its the time0 -
well you're wrong it's a 'reasonable period of time'0
-

-
