Northern Rock 125% LTV 'Together' Mortgages

I see they're still advertising these mortgages! Are they really available?
If they are I'd like to know why, particulary as it's our (Tax payers) money keeping them afloat!

    Why would the advertise them if they weren't available?

    As for why they are available, because consumers want them.

    Several other lenders also offer them including BM Solutions (HBOS), Coventry BS and Mortgage Express.

    Thanks - I'd like a new Ferrari, dosen't mean I'll get one. Bearing in mind the Credit crunch I'm surprised these are still available, particlary as other Banks and Building societies have been reducing LTV's

    I've just checked - It's a 95% mortgage with a max £30,000 loan. That explains it! I wouldn't want HMG handing out my cash willy nilly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
