Kees Hotel, I can't recommend it highly enough. Fantastic staff and food, we had a very nice room upgrade for free too which helped.
Ended up with a suite and a four poster bed

I will be back again for sure, leisure facilities on Monday we had all to ourselves!
I really didn't want to come home.
Only down side, don't order a steak in the restaurant, they can not cook steak to save their lives. :rolleyes:0 -
Ok peeps, looking for another weekend away. Will be using a leisure breaks voucher and have narrowed the selection down to:
Clanree Hotel, Letterkenny
Bayview Hotel, Killybegs
Abbey Hotel, Donegal
Carlton Redcastle, Moville (I am bearing in mind the previous review about this being very very child friendly!!!)
Any recommendations on these hotels???
Thanks in advance

I've stayed at the Redcastle and it was ok but nothing to write home about IYKWIM. My husbands aunt has stayed at the Abbey in Donegal several times and says it's great but she's 85 and her idea of great and ours might be very different.Member #7 SKI-ers Club

To follow on from my post way back in June, we're off to the Crescent Townhouse hotel in Belfast for 2 days. OK so I know I'm not that far away from home, but kids are away that weekend and have to be collected on the Sunday morning and I really didn't fancy driving from one end of the country to the other

Anyone stayed here or can they give me any reviews? Anything I've read online about it seems to be really good. The only dilemma now is parking, where'e good to park and not too expensive?
TIA

Arkonite you should be able to park on street pretty much anywhere in the area. As with any on street parking there's always a smallish risk but personally I'd take it. The nearest secure car park I can think of is down by the europa and would cost a small fortune. I've eaten in the Metro and drunk in Bar 12 and both were quite nice. You're also pretty central for a lot of other stuff.
Give me a shout if you want to know anything else, I'm pretty local to here so know the area well...0 -
Thanks belfastgirl, we're hoping to park on street but as we're there for 2 days we just wanted some advice. I might be able to use a secure car park for queens but it's not guaranteed.0

There are gorgeous apartments in Westport, the name of the escapes me at the moment. We went last year and it cost 200 euro for 2 nights for a 2 bedroom apartment with ALL mod cons. Great if you want to go as a group or with children.Undefeated Wii Fit ski jump champion!

If it's the weekend the main uni carparks are left open anyway so you'd be able to park in there no problem...dunno about the secure ones though...secure mostly means there are barriers in place so you need a pin to get in and out but doesn't mean there's any security on site..0
