Working family tax credits how do I get an estimate?

My husband and I want to start trying for a baby soon and we're trying to work out our finances.
I've had a look at the government information for working family tax credits on the web but I just can't understand it! I'm not stupid but I really can't work out what we would be entitled to.
I work 16 hours a week and earn £5408 a year. My OH is self-employed and earns about £25,000. We have no savings.
Can anyone help me work this out?
Thanks

The HMRC only tells you what you would get between now and next April. To get the amount per year, try www.entitledto.co.uk
But assuming that you have no disabilities, your current work arrangements and income continues, and you don't claim childcare costs, you would only be entitled to the Family Element of CTC, plus the baby addition until your child is one year old. So that's £21 per week in the first year, then £10.50 a week.

will you carry on working?
we get what irs has said above, my husband earns around 25 and i've stopped working. when a baby is under one you get double the amount, after that it's roughly ten a week. you'll also get child benefit of around 17 a week. the child will get a £250 child trust fund voucher to be invested in a CTF until they're 18. um, free nursery place when child is 3. i think that's about it. if you will be working it might be worth looking into childcare vouchers from the employer, either you, husband or both.52% tight0
