Dell Inspiron 2200 - Battery issue

I own the inspiron 2200 laptop and now all of a sudden my adaptor doesn't seem to be charging up the battery. Even though the adaptor is always plugged in, any time i check the power meter its slowly but surely decreasing.

I'm assuming the battery is now on its way out, however does anyway know where i can get a cheapish battery that's compatible for the laptop. The only ones iv seen are actual Dell ones and cost around £50. I'm not fussed what type it is, as long as its compatible.

As soon as i remove the charger the thing is dead. I can only use it when i plug the charger in, and that's guffed to so im waiting for my replacement to arrive lol. So at the moment im typing with one hand while the other is making sure the charger doesnt come loose! :mad:
