No Tax Taken Off!

Options
Hi,

I have started a new job quite recently.

For the past 3 months amazingly I havent paid a penny in tax my payslip shows only N.I contributions being taken off.

My tax code is 522L I have been on this code for a while 2+ years. I have called the tax office to make sure I am on the right tax code they have told me yeah thats fine.

What should I do? I think i deserve a tax break after all the tax i have paid but will this come back to me maybe at a later date?

Has anyone been in the same situation as me?

I have been working for 7 years. And moved from various tax codes to 522L.

Did you hand in a P45 when you started, if so what were the figures on it, Tax code tax basis gross and tax?
Did you fill in a P46 if so which box did you tick?
When you rang the tax office did you tell them about not paying any tax?

You have not given the figures from your P45 but I assume that you were paying tax before you started this employment from what you say; so it looks as if your new employers have done something wrong, for example not applied the previous pay and tax on your P45. I would suggest speaking to your pay office to see what is happening and also either you or your pay office getting in touch with the tax office.
If your payslip has a year to date figure does this include your old pay and tax or is it just the figures from this employment.
