Camping holiday in somerset - ideas?

Hello all - me and mr fluffy are going on holiday for a week from friday. We are sticking to our "get out of debt" plan by going camping in Somerset sort of between glastonbury and bath. We are broke as all our money goes on paying off debt but we both really need a break but we could still do to spend as little as humanly possible!
If anyone has any bright ideas as to how we can entertain ourselves - possibly even eat out (!) on a budget we would love to hear of your ideas.
Many thanks as ever

We always take a small pot belly BBQ and on nice evenings its nice to cook some nice food ,have some drinks and then have a small fire to sit round and watch the sun go down. The kids love it.0

No suggestions on location (looking for somewhere nice near the Eden Project myself), but one thing that we did (on hols last year near Alton) was to take along a disposable BBQ in order to cook some food. It is much cheaper than trying to find the nearest pub.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Hi,
Wells is really pretty with the cathedral and the moated Bishops Palace. You can eat a picnic either near the moat or on the lawns in front of the Cathedral.
Street near Glastonbury is where the Clarkes Outlet discount shopping centre is; but maybe not a good idea if you're trying not to spend!
To keep fit there's hiking up Glastonbury Tor!
We've taken up hiking recently for holidays; and although the boots were expensive it is a relatively cheap way of getting to see the less accessible parts of the country, and we actually do enjoy it!! Maybe try some short hikes on trails where trainers are OK before buying the boots!. Tourist information should have information on local walks and trails.
Picnics & flasks for hot/cold drinks whilst you're out are the biggest ways of keeping costs down we've found.
Hope you have a good holiday.0
