My colleague at work is traveling to the Dom Rep and wants to find out what is the best way to take monies. He's not sure whether to take TC's or cash.

American dollars are much preferred over stirling. If he takes US travellers cheques, many places will accept them as cash, less likely with sterling TC's. There are many cashpoints in the tourist areas. I've had no problem withdrawing cash from them.0
