Poo off a travel cot?

Sorry about the title, if you don't like the sound of the subject matter I suggest you don't read any further!:o
I'm sure there must have been a similar subject come up before but for the life of me I really don't think the search terms, "poo" and "travel cot" are going to show the threads up :rotfl:
Littl'uns had a nappy explosion which she's managed to spread along the fabric mesh sides of the travel cot (sorry, rather difficult to explain what the material's like!)
Does anyone have any suggestions for how to get it off completely? I've used some vanish and some orange spray and got the majority of it off but the stain's staying.
Thanks anyone for any help you can give :rotfl:
Just off to give her a bath, will be back later

Is the mesh white or coloured?May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

Try a biological washing powder on it - the cheaper the better. The enzymes will 'digest' the stain (hopefully) I'd make it into a 'paste' with not too hot water, spread it on and leave it for a while before giving it a bit of a going over with a nail brush or similar then rinsing it off. Good luck!skint but in luv :kisses2:0

You'd be surprisedTry baby poo stains.
Can you get the cover off? If not, I'd get an old, rough cloth, and using some bio washing liquid, rub that into the cloth. Rinse well using plenty of water.

Sunshine is excellent for getting out poo stains but unfortunately in short supply at the moment. If you've tried everything and its still there wait for a sunny day and try and put it in direct sun light.Sorting my life out one day at a time0

I've always found Nappisan the biz for poo on clothes, so I would scrub the mesh with some warm water with plenty of nappisan in it (probably use a nail brush for this, rinse with cloth dipped in clean water, let dry and repeat til clean. Having said that, this hasn't ever happened to me!0

I'd be inclined to go with this one, but I think I'd lie the cot, on it's side, in a bath and give it a really good soak before taking the nail brush to it. If you've got a shower over the bath, perfect for rinsing, then leave it upside down over the bath to drain, and get it outside to dry(weather permitting). I can remove our DGS's travel cot sides etc to wash them (did that when DGS2 and then DGS3 born). I bought a new washable mattress when DGS2 born to lay over and that is totally washable (Mothercare). Only bit I can't machine wash of the important bits is the base. What about a quick squish of Stardrops and leave for a while to absorb stain and then a bit of Zoflora to disinfect?

have you tried scrubbing really hard with a baby wipe? I spilt some tomato on my lovely new fluffy dressing gown (white) and managed to get the mark off with a baby wipe

Thank you for the replies everyone.
I was planning to come back to look for ideas and read the thread after I'd put Eleanor to bed but the oh came home, said "car upholstery cleaner and a nail brush", grabbed them and kindly demonstrated. Worked a treat
Nicki: I've not even looked at Nappisan, that sounds like it's worth having in the house just in case, ta!
trying-very-trying: Yep, I have a shower tap on the bath, which I completely forgot I'd left on when I last cleaned the bath, so when I went to fill the tub for Eleanor's bath earlier guess who got a soaking??
It's just not my day today. It's lucky I'm not cooking supper tonight - I'd probably burn the house downCould you do with a Money Makeover?
