Flying to India

I'm going to Chennai (Madras), India from the 14th July this year until a month later. Ideally I need to arrive a couple of days before and maybe leave a couple of days after those dates. I'll be living either in Bristol or East Midlands, London's probably the best place to go from though. Does anyone have any advice on how to find the cheapest return? I don't need insurance, I've looked at a few places and on travel supermarket and stuff but finding it hard! Any tips appreciated, thanks.
