This is why, at the first sign of any problem, you must go straight down the official complaint route rather than messing about with telephone calls to front line CSA's.

1. You know you're a maximum of 8 weeks away from either a resolution or deadlock letter.

2. The deadlock letter gets your complaint heard by the FOS.

3. The provider is charged a £400 fee by the FOS.

4. More importantly, the provider will be severely reprimanded if these 'issues' are commonplace within the organisation...and the only way the FOS will know this is if everyone experiencing a problem goes down this route.

Thanks to everyone for their input, I will update you when/if I get a reply back to my letter declining the 12 months interest offer (tempting as that is).
