Bathroom tiling cost

All,
I've been quoted by my bathroom fitter £675 to lay a total combined wall and floor area of 27m2 (£25 per sq m), excluding all materials/adhesive/grout - is this a reasonable price?

Thanks,

Jake

yip sounds about the going rate, bare in mind you will NEED adhesive grout etc so ask your tiler what discount he gets at his local tile shop, and you'll be cheaper going through him.

is he tanking it or sealing the grout ??

is it ceramic tiles ? at £25m2 i would think it would be, natural stone would be nearly double that.

polished porcelain tiles will need sealed too.
  • They are vitrified porcelain tiles. Not sure what you mean about tanking or sealing the grout.

Thanks for the advice as it sounds like I'm been quoted fairly then!

Check that includes laying plywood if you have a wooden floor, otherwise your new tiles will lift.

I would try to get other quotes including materials.
Ours cost about £20 sq m including materials for marble tiles. We had to remove tiles and lay ply though.
