Citi Classic Plus limits

Hi all,
Have just been approved for a Citi Classic Plus Visa card to transfer my Halifax One balance to as it is coming to the end of the 9 months. My Halifax limit is £4700 so I'd like a similar limit on the Citi card for it to be of any use for the BT. But they won't say what it will be until i receive the card, which could be 7-10 days.
I know that none of you could tell me what my limit is likely to be as it depends on so much stuff, but if you have a Citi Classic Plus card, please could you post what your limit is on here along with your APR?
Cheers,
Chris

I doubt if knowing anyone else's limit will be of any value to you but CitiCard normally restrict BTs to 90% of your available credit limit, so you'll probably need at least £5250 to accommodate your Halifax balance.0

Additionally you don't mention whether the Halifax limit was built up over time or whether that is what you were given when the card was issued.
The maximum I've ever been given on a card from day one is £3,000.
So I'm poor compared to you then :-/This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
My Halifax limit was built up over time. First £3000, then £3500, then £3900, then £4300, then £4700. I'm hoping that Citi will have a matching policy like MBNA do where they'll match a limit (assuming it's going to be less than my halifax one, I could be surprised) so that I can make the most of the BT.
If not though, so be it.0 -
FYI, they gave me £3000 limit. So not quite enough to cover my Halifax balance but a couple of months' salary will sort that.
Thanks for all your tips.0
