Short stay parking Dover

Hi there

I am planning to drive to dover for a day trip with my parents.
I was just wandering if anyone knows about any cheapish/free parking slots arround different tourist spots. Also any light on the main places to visit.. Iam interested in cliffs, beaches and gardens and out door activities.

Hi,

The best place to park in Dover is in the port in the multi-storey car park. It costs £8 for 6-12hrs, or £10 for 12-24hrs. It is quite expensive, but there is no other parking nearby and if you buy anything over the other side you will then have to carry it to the car.

If you are staying in Dover, there is a premier travel inn place on the seafront which is approx 5-10 mins walk to the port and I they have parking out the front.

For attractions obviously there is Dover Castle, which is rather good and offers good views over Dover and over the sea, to do everything including the tunnels will probably be a whole day.
