Thriftychick; "....Had time to look at fridge manual and found that I have had it at too high a setting so should save me a bit on that too...."
Here’s a tip I read about quite some time ago. At the back of the fridge there is a network of small pipes. These are part of the cooling system. Over time they gather acres of dust that can quite adversely affect cooling efficiency. Gently brush or vacuum the pipes clean every now and again. This will reduce the amount of power used keep the fridge cool.
Things I’ve done today….well not a great deal so far….
· At home catching up with some paperwork and posted letters – second class
· Brought the spreadsheets up to date - hooray
· Ordered a Blueberry bush and a couple of packets of vegetable seeds
· Will spend an hour or two in the garden this afternoon tidying up

Realised that the interest rate on one of my CC's is 17.9%, using the profit from a share sale yesterday to pay it off in full!
Also counted my 5p jar, it's got £33 in it will pay this in to my savings account.Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -
Recycled the paper out of the recycling bin at work and used the voucher to get a free Fools and Horses DVD.
Other than that, sod all if I'm honest!!!! I did list a lot of things on Ebay yesterday to take advantage of the half price listing, and will beef up some of the desriptions with photos and the like today.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
* Not buy stuff just for the sake of it
* put my mutual points cheque into my overdraft, rather than into my "general spending" account
* Check internet banking
* Phone First Direct and reclaim my pound (I ovverpaid them at the end, as I couldn't transfer 3p by internet banking and did £1.03 instead)Murphy's No More Pies Club #209
