Best online agencies for Carling Cup Final tickets

Options
Apologies if in wrong place.

I am after Carling Cup Final tickets. I am trying to get them through the Chelsea website, I am a member, but it looks unlikely as first dibs go to season ticket holders and then to members, so its a lottery for me getting one. So I am willing to splash out for obvious reasons...see avatar.....:D so can anyone recommend a reliable ticket agency. I do not want to spend that sort of money and see it go down the drain - have looked on TicketMaster who I know are reliable but the tickets are not on there.

I have seen worldticketshop.com and theonlineticketshop.com but was hoping someone on here had got sporting tickets before and had not been ripped off. I know I will be paying a lot of money, but don't want to pay, and then never receive them.

Many thanks. :)

All of the agencies you mention are touts albeit corporate touts with posh offices. None of them are official outlets. They will all charge a premium and you risk not recieving them at all.

Unfortunatly your only real option is via Chelsea. With repect Cheslsea have the worst support of any London clubs so unlike Spurs they will struggle to get rid of all their allocation. I dont know how they will organise it this year but if its on a loyalty point system you can bet that they will not sell out to members with the maximum number of points and it will go down to the next level of members with less points. If you have been to enough games this season you should still stand a chance although my advice would be to go to the Bridge on the morning of the sale rather than trying the internet. Get up early, wrap up warm and avoid paying over the odds to the touts.

    Thanks.....I think. ;)

lol One minute, we are accused of having loads of glory hunting new fans and the next, we have the worse support....and I really struggle to get tickets for matches I want to go and the finals they have got to over the past 3 years or so...;)

Thanks for the advice re the touts.

Ah.... You were joking, thank heavens for that. ;)

With an allocation of 31,000 plus, I doubt members will see 5,000 of those tickets, so you will have to have a decent head of loyalty points to have a sniff of a ticket. :(

That said, with 27,000 tickets going to the Corporates  anyone looking to get a ticket from the [strike]touts[/strike] ticket agencies, should find they have ample tickets to meet demand.

The first four tiers of the ST selling procedure have been announced and the members tiers will no doubt be announced once the tickets still left available are known.

The members selling procedure will be very structured based on loyalty points, and it will be based on known information, i.e, CFC know how many members have a given amount of points and if say the first tier is 100 points plus, tickets will be on sale online for say 48hrs and there will be enough tickets available to anyone with 100 points plus. Then after that it may be 80 points for the next 48hrs, etc, etc.... So IMHO, you either will or will not have enough loyalty points and there should be no need to buy anywhere other than online. :D

As for how many will you need? ..... The point system changed this year, so who knows? :D

    lol Calm down Tojo!! :D

I don't know if I will have enough points this season, so will apply through that route but may have to try one of these online sporting events places, just hoped someone on here had used one before and they had been reliable?

  • Hi Lou

Sorry to advise you that I am a Spurs fan but I would say other posters on here are probably right. Chelsea have failed to sell their allocation for most (if not all) finals they have been in in recent years. As you are a member I would say you have a pretty good chance to get one, however, as it is now at Wembley, probably more tickets will be sold. Unfortunately for me, I will probably never get a ticket in the Spurs end as they will no doubt sell within minutes.

Good luck with looking, dont pay over the odds from an online tout.

And may the best team win. LOL

The biggest tip would be to go to the ground and queue up, een if your not a season ticket and hope that the ticket office staff take pitty on you. I know it has happened in tha past. people not entitled to get tickets on that day getting tickets.

Comparing Carling Cup Finals in Cardiff, which nobody sold out, with a Carling Cup Final at Wembley, whilst conveniently forgetting last years FA cup Final at Wembley and the fact that you needed in excess of 100 loyalty points to even get a sniff of a ticket.

Now I KNOW I am being wound up. :rotfl:

Of course they will be, when was the last time your lot got to a major final? ;) For us Blues fans, on the other hand, its an expensive business always having a good run in the Cups and Europe. :D;)

The touts are reportedly charging more for Spud tickets for the Final than Chelsea tickets.
I'm guessing the touts realise that the spuds are flush.... having had six years to save up.
