Don't the broadband ADSL providers usually give the cheapo USB modems??

You'll probably need a ADSL router instead, but I don't know anyone on Tesco BB.

My next door neighbours have tiscalli BB and then got a cheapo USB moden.

  • I've got my PC connected to NTL 2Mb BB with a USB modem. I then bought a Network card for less than a fiver from Maplins, bought a 10m UTP Crossover Patch cable from eBay, and plugged one end into the network card, the other into the PS2, and presto, I've got a LAN which allows my PS2 to go online.
You will of course need a game that allows you to create a network configuration file on your PS2 memory card, or a Network Access Disc from Sony.

i have no idea what they are sending. i know i have to get a card for ps2 but still confused about the modem. i guess i have to wait for a few days before i get the modem and let you guys know about it.
  • Do you have the slimline PS2 or an older bulky one?
The slimline PS2 has a built in ethernet adapter. The older one doesn't, and therefore requires that you buy one, but this will come with a network access disc.
