Looking for caravan insurance

Just bought a caravan so I'm looking to insure it. It's 10 years old .Any suggestions welcome, as for what I've seen it's a bit expensive.
Waddle you do eh?

I am sure that we got a very good deal with joining the caravan and camping club. Didnt cost a lot to join and I do remember that we took the caravan over to Holland and got £250 off our ferry due to being in the club. So not just the benefits of insurance got a few other too.

My parents are having a problem with their insurance in this area at the moment.

Their insurer for their static has written to them to say they may not renew their policy as the van is now 14 years old. Their current broker doesn't seem willing to find an alternative quote because of its age. The van is worth about £6500 including contents. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: the caravan club, the quote has come up fairly reasonable but my parents think that they have tried here once beforeand been knocked back. Anyone else got a caraven of a similar age insured with them?
    Many thanks

We insured ours with Shield. It is our first year and our van is only 2 yrs old and it was the cheapest quote by a long shot.

They say they have no age limit on the caravans so they are worth a look.

  • I found these were the cheapest last year.

If you take out a caravan insurance policy with them then find the same cover cheaper elsewhere, they'll refund the difference.
