Halifax Purchase Card - 2 Questions

Got one of these beauties which has been loaded with new purchases for a house. Just a couple of questions - (1) When will Halifax review the credit limit? In the next month we will be pretty much up to the limit. I see from their website I can apply after 6 months. Will they review themselves after the same amount of time, or maybe earlier? (2) One of the items bought is a mattress which due to delivery problems is going to have £30 credited back to the card. Just making sure this won't do anything wrong and null the interest free period. I'm sure its ok but I do get worried at the seeminly ever growing list of things credit card companies can cancel introductory offers for. We are paying minimum payment by direct debit - would the credit reduce the dd payment (as it does with Nationwide) or just reduce the overall balance?

Hi,
(1) No, HBOS will not review the limit of the account before 6 months. After this the system will check regularly and if the limit can be increased it will be done and a letter will be sent to advise you. Even if you call up before this the answer will be no.
(2) The refund to the card will be ok and not void the 0%.
The DD for HBOS will be be taken out of your BA regardless of any other payments, for example, you have a DD for min payment and pay the full balance by chq for example, the DD will still come out. If you don't want it too, call customer services and they will cancel it for you.Regards, Robin.2011 MFW # 34
