I have a fifteen year old Panasonic portable cd/radio/cassette player. It works fine but the Remote Control does'nt. Has anybody tried the generic replacement remote controls that you can buy? Are they any good?

I've had one for about 7 years now. I use it for the portable in the bedroom, and keep dropping it on the floor, smashing it open, yet it continues to work. Even after my pup decided that he would try out his new teeth on it.....it still works! Works on all sorts of things, and was the best £6/7 pounds I've spent in a long time. Well worth it.
As to whether or not one of them will do for your machine, try one of the stores who offer a no quibble money back scheme.
