Free flight just for joining BMI Diamond Club

You are going to pay the taxes with whoever you fly with. So, if BMI fly there and you can get a seat may as well have it for “free”, surely?0

You have to wait a bit of time for the miles to be allocated, unfortunately it doesn't happen instantly. As a certain famous advert says....good things come to those who wait! :-)
Thanks for that... just wondering if I can use them before the end of the month.
Anyone tried to get the 9000 and then sign up for a card on top of that?! (not sure if that would work, as they say they create an account for you when u sign up to the card)... just a thought!0 -

To quote Puch (and Judy)
That's the way to do it!
BTW
It actually says
If you are not an existing diamond club member when you apply for the bmi credit card, bmi will automatically enrol you as a diamond club member once your account has been opened.0 -
I don't understand though - this is a loyalty club, not a credit card?First off I wasn't slamming anyone, no idea how you got that impression.
People have to be aware that "FREE" is a misnomer, these flights will cost you taxes, which can be considerable. So it is NOT a Money SAVING idea as you can get equivalent if not cheaper flights for less hassle.
If you have good credit and would usually spend £250 within 90 days then if you wanted to get more FF miles to use as I described above then this is one way to do it.
Cashback cards probably give better returns for your money so I wouldn't advocate using the AMEX all the time.In fact AMEX is not accepted in as many places as Visa and Mastercard.0 -

No because you are restricting yourself to one airline and their availability and routes for a small saving if you choose to fly economy.
The best value is to fly business class, but this is not money saving as such.
As you spend the same or possibly more as a cheap flight, but hopefully get a better product.0 -
I mention both in my post.
Diamond club is the loyalty card
AMEX is the credit card.
Simple.
Not so simple - it didn't leap out at my from your post number 7. It looked like you'd misunderstood the original thread?
But in fact I have. You were referring to someone else's credit card posting. Hadn't spotted that.0 -

I have edited my post to refer to the loyalty card specifically in my first sentence.
Hopefully it is clearer.0
