Income for tax credit purposes

Can anyone please advise me
I have recieved my stat maternity as a lump sum which I have also been taxed an NI on
I wasnt expecting this and am wondering now how I stand with tax credits
I know that your allowed to disregard so much of stat maternity pay but what do I declare as this years?
The money is suppose to last me till next year so I wont be getting any more payments from work nor will I be going back.

    im terrified im going to get an overpayment
    I know theres deffinatly an amount that is disregarded for tax credits purposes
