VoIP with free geographic 01/02 incoming call no

VoIP is a technology that has been discussed here on several occassions. (This allows you to make phone calls via a broadband internet connection with the opportuinity to call other people using the same system for free - services like Skype being among the most well known).
I have noticed that a new company - https://www.sipgate.co.uk offer such a VoIP service but with the added feature of incoming calls being available on a normal geographic number (10 cities available at present, more to follow, but provided you live in the UK you can apply for one of the exisiting numbers available).
Where free VoIP services allow incoming calls they have generally used 0870-type (or similar) numbers providing a marginal income, and no allowing any cheap call services to be compatible. This service means you can be called on your VoIP phone just like any normal geographic phone - so that could be using free minutes on a mobile, or 18866's 1p for as long as you like pricing.
As an outgoing service it does tie you to their tariff (just over 1p a min for landline and 14p for mobiles), but for a low user this may be a helpful service.
I'm not an expert at all this, but I thought this may be of use to someone one this site. I know broadband via the BT network is only possible if you also pay for line rental, is it possible with NTL without separate line rental for a phone that you effectively don't need if you use sipgate or a similar service?? I've tried to find out if you have to pay the £9.50 NTL line rental if you just want broadband, but can't find any clear answers on the website.

It's right at the bottom of the home page, the link is actually this:

I think this is pretty good, I wanted to go to VOIP for quite a while but lack of proper incoming numbers was a real show-stopper (no way I'm going to make my friends call an 0870 number to ring me up.)
But this is OK and I signed up already, I think 5.90 pounds a month including 1000 free UK outbound minutes is not bad. Only problem was I wanted a Reading number and these appear to be broken so I've settled for an 0207 London number instead.
Just called myself on new number and it seems to work OK even though I haven't actually paid them anything yet! I'll try it out cautiously for a couple of months then if it works out I'll bin NTL's expensive analog phone service. Or maybe swop to get faster broadband for same money.I ♥ MSE0 -

Try clearing your browser cache? Or press ctrl+F5 whilst on the registration page to do forcible refresh of that page only? I don't see 0870 numbers I see an option selector box with names of UK cities in it.I ♥ MSE0 -

Even I can't see 0207 numbers on sipgate. Do they still provide 0207 numbers?0
