I need some advice, please!!

I really like this house but it is well above my budget. Which one of these two houses will be value for money in the long run, I just need members opinion on this? I think, the first one is too big for daughter. She does not really need a house that big, but the location is perfect. My other concern is how expensive is it to run a house like that? Second one will do but I think it is over priced for a house of that size with no parking.

Loulou,I know you've been looking for a house for at least a year now & you must have lost out on many houses because you thought they were overpriced.

Harrow isn't a cheap area & is on a par pricewise with most other suburban areas with good transport links. But the first house certainly does seem to represent very good value for money. It is quite large for one person on their own though, so would your daughter considering getting somebody in to share to help with running costs? This house will be by far the better buy in the long run.

By comparission the terraced house does sound a bit expensive, but there is nothing stopping you making what you feel is a more realistic offer, £290K perhaps?
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
