III S&S ISA - Is It Really Free?

III have a free ISA wrapper and are advertising buying shares for free until 30 June and then £1.50 per trade after.

Surely that's much cheaper than anywhere else - or am I missing something?

This sounds like the Halixfax sharebuilder. In fact, it probably is a wrapper round it like the Motley Fool ShareBuilder because it has the same free trades till June offer.

The catch is actually explained on the page (first subheading, how does it work - why such low commision): you set up regular monthly trades and they carry out the transactions in bulk. So you can't judge the exact time/price. (You can change your trading instructions though).

Never used one myself, though interested. If you are looking at one of these, I'd recommend comparing the three versions because I'm sure someone wrote that the Motley Fool one offers a slightly better deal than the Halifax (can't remember why now).
