I hope someone can help me.
I've just bought a bluetooth dongle to enable me to transfer/receive files with my PC, but am having problems transfering from PC to phone.

I have tried sending pictures from the phone to the PC with no problems but when I try the other way around I can see some PC files on the phone but when I try to brouse or receive the files the bluetooth disconnects after about 10 secs.
My phone is a Samsung E720 on O2 and I've looked in the manual but there's nothing on this problem.
I've tried looking on the bluetooth's software 'Help' but that doesnt help either.

Anyone any suggestions?

try right clicking on the file highlighting send to then look for bluetooth whihc should have a sub menu with bluetooth devices linked to the computer, select your phone and it should transfer.
Sometimes i surprise myself by being right.

When I right click on the picture and select 'send to', there isn't an option for bluetooth, and no sub menus.

hmmm, is there a bluetooth symbol in the task bar beside the clock? If so right click it and select quick connect, if it still doesn't work right click the icon again and select the setup wizard.

sounds like one of the other devices might not be working or transmitting its bluetooth signal. test it with other devices

There is an bluetooth symbol at the bottom and if I right click the options are - 'exit', 'show window', or 'display' and the 'bluetooth software' window comes up.

It just seems strange that I can do phone-PC, but not PC-phone....

if you go to control panel, see if there are icons for bluetooth devices and bluetooth configurations. If there are select the bluetooth configuration and follow the instructions.
Incidently are you using xp service pack 2?

That may be the problem, up until they released sp2 microsoft's support for bluetooth was pretty much non-exisitant. i would reconmend getting sp2, as then you will have a host options for bluetooth connectivity open to you
