Skype problem

in Techie Stuff
Hi everyone, been away for a couple of months, got back switched on my Mac G4, everythimg OK except I cannot get Skype to open, have put my old version in the bin and downloaded/installed the latest one but no joy.
The ikon just bounces once and nothing happens! Tried restart and opening direct from applications.
Any ideas?
