My OH has gone, i dont know if it will be permanent but it is deffo not short term. We do not have any joint assets. He is in the income bracket where we only got about £50 a month tax credits, we are leading very separate lives.
Can I make a claim even if it is only for a few months?

Hi Sarah I am so sorry I don't have any answers but I am sure someone will be along shortly. Hope you both manage to work things out
Best wishes

Yes you can make a single claim for child and working tax credits, sorry about your situation I thought you had only just got married0

Yes you can claim as a single applicant. If you call up they should end the joint claim then pass you through to another department to take you through a single application straight away.0
