best/worst investment decision you made

pal ...... no havnt sold my house , i class it as a good investment because my mortgage is only 200 quid a month on a 200k house , not interested really in the value from one day until the next , in fact i hope they fall in value as otherwise my two teenage sons will be here until doomsday

alot of renters out there will say .." but you cant release the value and if you move its all relative" blah blah

yes but i wont be paying rent until im dead ...

deemy ... i know how you feel , i used to trade aim stocks for a couple of years , 2 grand up one day 2 grand down the next ..... i ended up day trading 5 figure sums but realised that it was taking my life from me in worry ...

ended with an 8k loss overall , which in around the next 2-3 months i will have earned back through ebay alone , much much less stress and i might see 3 score and 10 , i know that i wouldnt have if id carried on trading.

I stopped trading stocks a decade ago...

Now invest for the long-term... Most of my holdings are over 1 year old..

Yeh speculate on the futures and currencies - a case of up one month down the next.. with maybe an 8% yeild - not much given the amount of work they consume !
