Hi all,
I have a non-commercial DVD (our first ultrasound - it has 2 arms and 2 legs!
) from the hospital, and I want to be able to email the video/host it on a video sharing site or similar.
However, the hospital recorded it in .VOB format, and in fact it was more confusing than I thought even, as there are multiple files, none of which play the video when clicked on directly, I've only been able to get it to play by inserting the DVD and letting it autorun.
There's a VIDEO_RM and a VIDEO_TS folder, in the RM there's a small .BUP and a small .IFO file,
in the TS there's a VIDEO_TS.VOB file which is 42kb, a VTS_01_1.VOB file which is 300Mb and presumably holds the content, and a pair of BUP/IFO files for each of the two .VOB files.
I tried a freeware VOB->AVI converter download, but it didn't recognise the large .VOB file as having anything in it, and the converted output was only 32kb and didn't play.
Can anyone explain what I should do?
Any help much appreciated

Two options:
Download the free trial of Magic DVD Ripper and rip the DVD to your hard drive or copy the VTS_01_1.VOB to your hard drive and re-name the extension to .mpg and go from there.
VLC plays .VOB files. But you don't need it for this job.0 -
Fairuse wizard will convert it to a smaller email-able format for you. Super easy to use. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0
